Slacking on my posts! So much progress!

The last month has been hectic to say the least. Not with building our new house, but with selling the old one. House was listed on a Thursday, we didn't accept any showing appts until Saturday, had three days of non stop showings, then subsequently received three different offers. We went through the multiple offer situation, negotiated one through then had to start the home inspection process. That ended last week and we agreed on the final terms early this week. Just finished the last of the demands and can focus our attention on the new house again finally!

We had our pre drywall meeting on September 29 and found out the pre settlement meeting would be November 17!! Found out this morning that our closing date will be November 19!! I am so excited to get in the new house!!

Over the last few weeks we have watched the electrical, plumbing and HVAC go in. Then over the last week they put in the insulation and began dry walling. I don't know why I am still so amazed by how fast it all gets done, but I am.

When we stopped at the house yesterday, they had started getting siding up and we have a garage door. I love the gray color that we went with. It looks so good with the white trim!

Our PM told us the drywalling process would take about two weeks, so I'm guessing it will be done by the end of next week. Then the trim starts to go in. So much progress! It is really looking like a house now!!
